HIKE AND CANOE A SUMMER’S DAY
Looking for a leisurely way to spend a pleasant summer’s day in the beautiful Maine outdoors? Hidden Valley Nature Center has the perfect package – Hike and Canoe.
From the main gate, hike an easy 1.3 mile trail to remote and quiet Little Dyer Pond. There you will find your reserved canoe and picnic table waiting for you – even an outhouse.
Paddle or drift the 100 + acre pond, exploring its coves, inlet and outlet. For those who love to fish, bring your rod and reel (and license) and tempt the bass, perch and pickerel.
And you can extend your outdoor Shnagri-la stay with an overnight in nearby Hermt Hut, tenting on the nearby ponside tent platform. The Yurt and cozy 2-Dog Hut are also available. FMI contact Gary at waywards@hotmail.com or 586-6752. ___________________________________________
